  • Missing right may have:
    • arm raised a victory crown
    • Held an open hand in greeting
    • Landing on the prow of the ship
    • The boat at the base is a battleship with oarboxes and traces of a ram
• Function
  • Meant to stand in or above a fountain cascading water around rocks below (figure head of a boat)
  • Probably built to commemorate a naval victory in 190 BCE
